People did not have to be labeled “old” to have constant body pain, including aches in the joints. This kind of pain is often a sign of simply living. For example, my knees can not take the pressure of kneeling anymore. This is my career, albeit short, in childcare, as well as accidents from being an active clumsy child. Some aches are simply beyond my control. Changes in environmental air pressure can cause slight to severe headaches, particularly in people with shunts, such as myself. Speaking of headaches, they are often accompanied by other symptoms, such as backache and nausea. As silly as it sounds, I also feel comfort in this discomforts, at least when they’re low in intensity. They remind me that I am still alive and actually fuel my determination to make each day as productive as possible. Through the presence of my Lord Jesus, I have learned that pain can not, and never will, control me. I pray that my thoughts can be a blessing to all of my readers!
